An excellent weekend for SIBC notching up 2 wins in th Yetton Trophy and Egham Trophy respectively. Well done to all the players who represented the club in these matches. The first competitive National Competition matches of the season have been played with Solihull players returning a mix of results. First up - The Denny Cup. One of the oldest and most prestigeous events in the indoor bowls calendar. This event is played over 4 rinks (16 players) with 2 being at home and 2 away at the opponents club. Ben Harris has been in fine form over recent weeks and has booked his place at Potters in the World Indoor Pairs Championships. Ben made the long trip to Guernsey along side his team mate Connor Chamberlain (from Church Gresley) to play in WBT qualifying events for the Singles and Pairs. Singles matches took place on Saturday with Ben reaching the third round before losing to Alison Merrien MBE (3-8, 6-1, 0-2).
