Summer is just around the corner, and with it comes the chance to join one or more of our league offerings. The 2026 Summer League is officially open for entries with league matches starting week beginning 11th May, offering fresh formats and plenty of fun for both seasoned players and newcomers.

Whether you want to compete with your regular team or try something new, this league has something for everyone. The entry fee is just £10 per team, making it an affordable way to enjoy competitive bowling all summer long.

New League Formats to Keep Things Fresh

This year’s summer league introduces exciting formats designed to keep the competition lively and inclusive. Here’s a quick look at what you can expect:

• Rotating Pairs

This format mixes things up by rotating partners each week. Enter as a pair. It’s perfect for players who want to meet new teammates and develop different strategies. It also keeps the games unpredictable and fun.

• Power-Play Triples

Following the exciting format of the Premier League of 2 sets of 6 ends (3 bowl pairs) where each member of the triple must play a minimum of 3 ends per set. If the sets are tied 1 set each then a 1 end tie-breaker end will be played (2 bowl triples). But dont forgot to use your power-play! each team gets 1 power-play per set where if they win the end their score on that end will be doubled!

• New Bowlers League

If you’re new to bowling or just getting back into the game, this league is tailored for you. It offers a supportive environment where beginners can improve skills without the pressure of highly competitive play.

• Sunday Morning Mixed Pairs

For those who prefer a relaxed start to the weekend, the Sunday morning league offers a friendly atmosphere with a focus on enjoyment and socialising. It’s a great way to unwind and connect with other bowlers.

• Wednesday 9:30am and Saturday 10am New Bowlers Social

New Bowlers are invited to join us for these next step sessions where you will learn the finer points of indoor bowls. You have completed your Introductory Sessions and this is where you will be shown other skills that will increase your knowledge of the game, as well as meeting other new members. A break half way through the sessions is included for refreshments, and any questions you may have. Register your interest on the form and we will send out more information when the sessions are ready to begin.

These formats provide a variety of options so you can choose what fits your style and schedule best.
